Barcelona are not just winning matches this season, they are putting on a show every time they step onto the pitch. On Wednesday night at Spotify Camp Nou, Hansi Flick’s side produced their latest masterclass, thrashing Racing Santander 7-2 in a La Liga matchday six clash that had everything: worldies from distance, a penalty hat trick, an own goal, and a stoppage-time cherry on top from Lamine Yamal. This was Barcelona scoring goals for fun, and nobody in Spain looks capable of stopping them right now.
Seven Games, Seven Wins, Pure History

Let that number sink in. Barcelona have now won all seven matches to start their season for the first time in the club’s entire history. Not under Cruyff, not under Guardiola, not ever. This current group has done what no Barcelona side has managed before, and they are doing it while scoring for fun, with five or more goals in five of their seven matches. Flick’s men now sit three points clear of bitter rivals Real Madrid at the top of LaLiga, and the gap between Barcelona and everyone else is starting to feel like a chasm.
Raphinha Steals the Spotlight

The headline act belonged to Raphinha, who bagged himself a hat trick, including two coolly dispatched penalties, to help Barcelona race into a commanding 4-1 lead before the halftime whistle even sounded. But the Brazilian winger was far from a solo act.

Joao Cancelo opened the scoring with a stunning 25-yard strike in the eighth minute, setting the tone for a night where Barcelona treated Racing’s goal like target practice. Cancelo was not done there either, as another long-range effort deflected off Racing defender Asier Villalibre and looped in for an own goal, adding insult to injury for the visitors.

Substitutes Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal joined the party late on, with Yamal calmly slotting home an empty net finish in the 89th minute after a gorgeous assist from fellow substitute Karim Adeyemi, sending Camp Nou into full carnival mode as the scoreline hit 7-2.
Racing Fight Back but Cannot Live With Barca

Credit belongs to Racing Santander too, who refused to simply roll over. Maguette Gueye and Yassir Zabiri both found the net for the visitors, proving there is real quality in this Racing side even against opposition of Barcelona’s caliber. But against a Barcelona team playing with this much confidence and creativity, two goals were never going to be enough.
What This Means Going Forward

Barcelona’s attacking numbers this season are staggering, and with the likes of Raphinha, Yamal, and now impact substitutes like Adeyemi and Gabriel Jesus adding firepower off the bench, opposing defenses have nowhere left to hide. As Flick’s side prepares for a trip to Sevilla this weekend, the rest of LaLiga has been put on notice. Barcelona are not just winning, they are entertaining, breaking records, and making a statement with every match. If this is the standard early in the season, the rest of Spanish football should be worried about what comes next.
