A thrilling 90 minutes experience at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia saw Como move up above Juventus in the Serie A table as Nico Paz put up a dynamic performance against the Champions to secure a victory for the home side, thereby ending Bianconeri’s eight-match unbeaten run across all competitions.
After five consecutive draws across all competitions, Igor Tudor’s men hoped to offset their 3 point deficit from the SA summit. Bianconeri were left trailing early on in the first half Nico Paz’s delivery was volleyed home by Marc-Oliver Kempf at the back post in the fourth minute.

Juventus, however, looked unrelenting and undeterred by the setback, and kept on pressing for a leveler with Kenan Yildiz flashing a powerful strike just narrowly wide. The Koopmeiners came close to parity but Jean Butez was there to deny the close-range header.
Como were able to hold on to their lead while making several efforts at a second which paid off in the 79th minute when Paz curled in a sublime strike from the right flanked into the far corner, his second of the day and fourth of the season.

Juventus were unable to make a reply despite the late chances of Andrea Cambiaso and and substitute Dušan Vlahović.
