Oh baby, if you thought PSG were just “phoning it in” for another domestic stroll, yesterday’s trip to Lens said HOLD MY CHAMPAGNE!
On an electric Wednesday night at the cauldron that is Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Paris Saint-Germain didn’t just win a football match — they threw the Ligue 1 trophy on the roof of the team bus and drove off into the sunset with it. Final score: Lens 0 – 2 PSG. Title secured with a game to spare. Fifth consecutive crown. Fourteenth in club history. History books? Officially updated.

The Match That Had Everything (Except Lens Goals)

The away end was a sea of red, blue, and pure Parisian swagger. Lens came out swinging — they needed points, pride, and a miracle — but Matvey Safonov in the PSG net was playing like a man who’d eaten lightning for breakfast. Eight key saves? The Russian keeper was an absolute WALL. Lens fans were screaming, the stadium was rocking… but the final whistle still sounded like a victory parade.

Then came the magic.

29th minute: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia — yes, that Kvaratskhelia — glides through like he’s on ice skates in the Georgian mountains. A silky touch, a clinical finish. 1-0 to PSG. The Georgian Prince does it again! The away fans exploded so hard you could probably hear it in central Paris.
Lens kept pushing (credit to them, they never stopped believing), but in stoppage time, Ibrahim Mbaye said “enough of this tension” and unleashed a rocket that nearly took the net into the next postcode. 2-0. Game over. Title sealed. Cue the fireworks, the hugs, the “Ici c’est Paris” chants echoing into the night.

What This Means (And Why It Feels So Sweet)

  • Fifth straight Ligue 1 title — first time in club history they’ve done the five-peat.
  • 14th overall — they’re not just dominating France, they’re rewriting the record books.
  • Luis Enrique now has three straight league titles. The man is building something scary.
  • And yes… eyes are already shifting to that Champions League final against Arsenal on May 30 in Budapest. But last night? Last night was for celebrating domestic royalty.

The Vibes Were Immaculate
Imagine the dressing room: music blasting, players sliding across the floor with the trophy, Kvaratskhelia doing his dance, Mbaye looking like he just won the lottery, and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi grinning ear to ear. This wasn’t just another title — it was earned on the road, against a proper rival, in front of a hostile crowd that wanted blood. PSG showed character, quality, and that cold-blooded winner’s mentality.

To the PSG faithful who made the trip north: you legends made it feel like a home game. To everyone back in Paris painting the town blue and red right now — keep the party going (responsibly, of course… or don’t, it’s title night!).

Ici c’est Paris. And right now, Paris is the undisputed king of France. 💙❤️

Allez Paris! 🔥
