Winners of the 2025 FIFPRO World XI Men and Women categories have been unveiled following a voting system from over 26,000 professional footballers from 68 countries. This award is the only global player award that is decided exclusively by players alone.
New Era
Since 2005, the global award has analyzed professional footballers from major leagues around the world selecting the best XI each year. The striking characteristic of this award is the fact that the winners are selected by the players themselves and not by the conventional journalists, coaches or fans.
Each player gets an individual trophy which symbolizes their “number 1” position in the eyes of their peers and colleagues, making them the best in their various playing positions on the field. When all 11 trophies are pulled together, they give rise to the larger prize, the World 11, a celebration of the power of the team. Also, put together by xCruza, an award-winning studio at Argentinian base, the trophies form an Abrazo de Gol (Goal Hug) an embodiment of the essence of football.
This year’s award featured five of French Champions, Paris Saint-Germain’s players, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Ousmane Dembele, including former shot stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who now plays for English side, Manchester City.
