With the scoreline now down to a goal separating the two sides, Brighton kept on mounting pressure on United’s defense but all hopes were lost when Mbeumo got his second of the night in the 97th minute, sealing the victory for the hosts.

This win will serve as a significant boost for United while offering a means of returning the 3-1 loss to the visitors back in January. United conceded twice in the second half with a goal late in the game. This signifies an area they will have to tighten up regardless of their increasing momentum.
