Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has confirmed that he has officially parted ways with his long-time agent, Manuel Sierra of Football Division Worldwide, marking the end of a significant chapter in his professional career. The Ecuadorian international revealed that his contract with Sierra ended on August 14, 2025, and that he will now be represented by what he described as “people he can trust.”
Sierra had played a major role in Caicedo’s career, most notably overseeing his record-breaking £115 million transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion to Chelsea in August 2023, a move that made him the most expensive signing in British football history at the time. Sierra’s management helped guide Caicedo from his early rise at Independiente del Valle in Ecuador to becoming one of the Premier League’s most sought-after midfielders.

Caicedo also confirmed that Ali Barat of the agency Epic no longer represents him. While Barat was previously involved in some aspects of his career management, Caicedo’s recent statement made it clear that he has now completely cut ties with all previous representatives. The midfielder emphasized that the decision to move on was mutual and based on his desire for a fresh direction both on and off the pitch.
Focus on a New Chapter
The timing of this change suggests that Caicedo is seeking a more personal and trusted approach to his career management. His new team, which is believed to include close family members and advisers, will reportedly handle all his professional matters going forward. This move is said to reflect Caicedo’s growing maturity and his wish to take greater control over his image, contracts, and future decisions.

At just 23, Caicedo has already experienced a whirlwind career, rising from South America’s youth leagues to the global stage in just a few years. Now a key figure in Chelsea’s midfield, he appears determined to focus entirely on his football and development under manager Enzo Maresca, leaving off-field distractions behind.
While no details have been shared about whether Caicedo will sign with another agency, sources close to the player indicate that he is content working with his new circle of advisers for now. His decision comes at a crucial time in his career, as Chelsea look to stabilize under their new system.
The move away from his previous agents signals a new beginning for the Ecuadorian star, one where he intends to manage his career with more independence, focus, and trust. With his situation now settled off the field, Caicedo’s attention turns fully to delivering his best performances for Chelsea and the Ecuadorian national team.
