With wins in their respective opening UEFA Europa League matches, Roma and Lille face off later today at Stadio Olimpico. Each team will strive to claim all three points and thereby extend their wins to two.

Roma now have five victories from their opening six matches this season after beating Hellas Verona 2-0 last weekend. Prio to that, they had also won Nice on Wednesday in their opening UEL match. The Giallorossi will be looking to set a record of back-to-back victories in the competition for the second time in their history since it was rebranded, and have maintained a fine form from the end of last season with ten wins and 2 loses from their last 12 games.
Lille suffered a 1-0 defeat to Lyon last weekend and may still be affected by it as they have now lost two of their last three encounters. But the win over Brann at their opening match of the UEL campaign might spur them to a victory against Roma today. They are very much in for a tough task as they have managed only three wins in their 16 UEL away games and three victories in their last ten competitive games on the road.
Roma has won two of their three previous UEL matches against French clubs with one lose, while Lille have a 50% winning record against teams from Italy in all competitions with seven wins, three draws and eight loses.
Roma are now the only team to have scored in six of their last seven matches. Meanwhile there has been 17 goals in Lille’s three away games this season.
Lineups and Injuries
Paulo Dybala will remain sidelined for Roma due to an ankle injury, but Roma will have Svilar in goal with Celik, Mancini and Hermoso on the backline. Rensch, Kone, Cristante, and Tsimikas will come in midfield with Pellegrini, Dovbyk and Soule on the attack.
while Lille will be without Tiago Santos who picked up an injury from their last game against Lyon, they will keep Bodart in between the uprights with Mandi, Ngoy, Mbemba, and Verdonk on the backline. In midfield they will have Mukau, Bentlab, Fernandes, Haraldson and Correia behind Striker Giroud.
