Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen, has returned to club action for his club Galatasaray, after coming in as a second half substitute in the 1-0 win over Alanyaspor.
The 23rd minute goal from Mauro Icardi was the only goal which separated the two sides, extending Galatasaray’s perfect start to the Süper Lig season, making it seven wins from seven. The win also secured a record-breaking 15th consecutive league victory.
Osimhen was brought in at the 85th minute to replace Turkish winger, Barış Alper Yılmaz who had an impressive outing in the match away at the Bahcesehir Okullari Stadyumu, in Alanya.

Earlier, head coach Okan Buruk said Victor Osimhen remains in discomfort but could feature in the game if he can “tolerate the minor aches and pains.”
Osimhen has been sidelined since sustaining a chin injury while on international duty with Nigeria during the 1-0 win over Rwanda in Uyo earlier this month.
The recent appearance is a boost for the Turkish giant who are counting on the 26-year-old who was their talisman last season.
Galatasaray opens huge gap lead in title defense
Galatasaray are comfortably leading the charge to defend their crown, sitting top of the Süper Lig table with 21 points, 9-point ahead of their close challenger, Goztepe and Fenerbahçe.
Goztepe will visit Eyupspor in the early kick-off tomorrow, Saturday September 27, while Fenerbahçe will host Antalyaspor on Sunday, September 28.
Champions League date with Liverpool
Osimhen is a strong contender for a starting spot in their Matchday 2 UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool next week. The match is slated for 21:00 (GMT) on Tuesday, September 30.

Buruk said he is banking on the Nigerian striker in their Champions League clash against Liverpool.
