Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted with the young mascot just before kickoff on Saturday night offering his love, and compassion. He comforted the lad why kneeling, and patting his back and went on to encouragement the boy to follow his dream. The mascot, simply identified as Reuben, is a young fan who has hearing and speaking disabilities. One of his biggest dream was to meet Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reactions from fans has been very positive with some citing other great experiences with the superstar., calling him not just a great footballer but also a great human being off the pitch. One great instance was when a Japanese tried to converse with Cristiano in Portuguese and was laughed at by the crowd on stage. Ronaldo stood up to the crowd for him saying, “you should be happy because he’s trying very hard. It’s good.”
