“Napoli, Surprise suitors for Kobbie Mainoo”
Napoli has expressed interest in United’s midfielder Kobbie Mainoo and will most likely bring up discussions on a move for the English international during negotiations regarding Rasmus Hojlund later this week.
The current narrative follows that Mainoo is out of favor, not fancied by Reuben and not suitable for Reuben’s setup. Nevertheless, some fans believe this is “utter rubbish,” as Kobbie is only 20 years old, still developing, and yet is playing an important role in the team.
Manager Reuben Amorim has been in charge of 43 games, with Kobbie being involved in 28 of them, including 15 starts, and missing 9 games due to injuries. This leaves only 6 games in which he was not involved. The 20-year-old product of Manchester United’s academy made his senior debut for the Reds in 2023 and has since been a vital part of the team. His performance led to his call-up to the England senior squad at age 18.

Is Kobbie Mainoo leaving Manchester United?
Kobi Mainoo who is currently on a salary of around £20,000 per week had hoped for an appreciable increase of up to £200,000 during his run of regular appearances for Manchester United. Man Utd however declined his request. It is unclear if Mainoo will remain at Old Trafford.
With Man Utd up against Grimsby tonight for the second round of Carabao cup run, fans are hopeful Mainoo can make the lineup ahead of Bruno to give the midfield the boost it needs to drive home a victory.
