Later today, Manchester United will try for a third consecutive Premier League victory when they face Brighton & Hove Albion in gameweek 9 at home turf. The visitors, who are just a point and one place behind United in the league hierarchy, currently, have dominated recent fixtures between the two sides, including three at Old Trafford. This fixture will be a stern test to Amorim’s biggest result from his last time out.
Team News

Last weekend, United waived aside their seemingly unending setbacks when they defeated arch-rivals, Liverpool on the road – their first win at Anfield in almost a decade. With momentum from their first consecutive win under manager Ruben Amorim, they will try to extend their luck today. Amorim’s men who have won three successive league home games, are in a good position to extend their winning streak.
However, Lisandro Martinez will still miss another game for United and will be the only absentee for the hosts, although it is uncertain whether Maguire and Mount will be available for the game.
Brighton has conceded first in all their away league games this season, a character that puts them at a huge disadvantage today as United are unbeaten in all games in which they scored first this campaign.
While it is uncertain whether Brajan Gruda, Mitoma and Joel Veltman will be featured in today’s game, Jack Hinshelwood, March and Webster will all be out due to injuries.

Possible Formation and Lineups
Manchester United will likely stick to their 3-4-2-1 formation with Altay Bayindir in goal, and trio Maguire, Shaw and De Ligt in defense behind a midline of Dorgu, Casemiro,Fernandes and Diallo. Cunha will lead the attack with the supports of Mbeumo and Sesko.
Hurzeler’s men will stick to their 4-2-3-1 formation with goalkeeper Verbruggen, and defenders Veltman, Dunk, Van Hecke, and Kadioglu. In midfield will be duo Minteh and Ayari playing defensively while trio Rutter, Baleba and Mitoma will join the attack led by former United forward, Danny Welbeck.
Brighton have dominated previous of such fixtures but an enthusiastic Amorim side might just change the narrative today.
