Match synopsis
The game was off to a good start for Alonso’s men as they kept possession in the opening minutes of play. Levante got their first crack at goal when Alvarez worked his way past the Madrid defence from the right and picked out Romero whose efforts at goal dawdled wide.
Madrid took over, dominating the game with several great attempts at an opener and had a breakthrough in the 28th minute when midfielder Vinicius Junior was able to find the back of the net with the outside of his boot.

The visitors then looked to solidify their control of the game with several efforts at a second goal and were rewarded again in the 38th minute through midfielder Franco Mastantuono. The former River Plate player found space down the right side from a Vinicius pass and fired into the roof of the net.

The Meringues tried to grab a third before halftime but Ryan was able to deny them.
The visitors picked up where they left off in the second half, mounting pressure but were unlucky to concede through the efforts of Levante striker Etta Eyong with Madrid defender Carreras receiving a booking for a foul in the build up to the goal.
Nevertheless, the Meringues kept on looking dangerous and got their third of the night as striker Kylian Mbappé got his first of the day through a spot kick for a foul on him by Elgezaba.
Two minutes later, the Frenchman Mbappé got another goal from a throughball from Guler which he sent into an empty net after beating goalkeeper Ryan.

It was a perfect evening for Xabi Alonso and his men who now boast of an impressive 100% winning start to the La Liga season. The Meringues will take a trip to Riyadh Air Metropolitano on Saturday for an El Classico with Athletico Madrid.
Meanwhile, Levante will travel to face Getafe with hopes of keeping themselves out of the relegation zone this weekend.
