10-man Everton broke their deadlock from 2013/14 season by beating Manchester United with a lone goal from the first half despite an early red card in the 13th minute. Everton made theirs intentions known in the first half as they earned a free kick in the second minute of the game. They then got another opportunity advance and build an attack which resulted in a free kick.
The first true attempt of the day came in the 9th minute when Iliman Nduaye a shot from a Kiernan Deedbury-Hall pass. Am early change saw Jake O’Brien come on for Séamus Coleman for the Toffees. They were then reduced to 10-men in the 13th minute as Ideissa Gana Gueye was sent off with a straight red, making the already tough match more challenging for the visitors.
In a surprising turn of events, the Toffees became more dominant and were unrelenting with their pressure on the opposition defense. They were rewarded for their efforts in the 29th when Dewsbury-Hall’s struck a high shot into the right inside of the frame from the inner edge of the penalty area. United then seemed to challenge the Everton defense but were unable to level by the halftime whistle.

United headed into the second period with hopes of turning their numerical superiority and territorial dominance into goal. Casemiro tried to level just 2 minutes into the second half but his shot was deflected off target.
The Red Devils then made a series of promising attacks but were unlucky at finding the equaliser at the end of the second half with the scores remaining 1-0 in favour of the visitors at the full time whistle.
Man United are now 10th on the league standings while Everton follow in 11th position with 0 goal difference each.
