SportBusiness and Inside World Football report that Inter Milan has achieved a historic financial milestone, generating €567 million in revenue for the 2024-25 fiscal year, the highest figure ever recorded by a Serie A club.
This remarkable achievement represents a €94 million increase from the previous financial year and marks a transformative period in the club’s economic trajectory.
First Profitability in 15 Years
Football Italia and Inside World Football report that the club posted a net profit of €35.4 million for 2024-25, representing their first profit in 15 years, and this achievement is particularly impressive given that the club recorded a loss of €35.7 million in the previous financial year, making this a €70 million financial turnaround.
This dramatic reversal came during a period of significant ownership transition. In May 2024, American fund Oaktree repossessed the club after the previous owner, Suning, defaulted on a loan.
Under the strategic leadership of President Giuseppe Marotta, the club has focused intensively on cost-cutting measures and revenue growth initiatives that have clearly paid dividends.
Comparative Performance Against Serie A Rivals

According to Sportcal, Inter’s financial performance significantly outpaced its traditional rivals.
While Juventus posted revenues of €529 million for the fiscal year and AC Milan generated €495 million in revenue, Inter’s €567 million figure established clear financial leadership among Italian clubs. The gap was particularly striking in profitability, as Juventus posted a €58 million loss despite their revenue increasing from €394 million the previous year, while AC Milan recorded a net profit of €3 million.
This financial dominance reflects both Inter’s sporting success in reaching major European finals and the strategic management decisions implemented under new ownership.
The club has successfully balanced competitive ambition with fiscal responsibility, a combination that has eluded several of its Serie A competitors in recent seasons.
Strategic Outlook

Inter Milan’s record-breaking €567 million revenue and return to profitability represent a milestone achievement for the club and Italian football more broadly.
The achievement demonstrates that Italian clubs can compete financially at the European level through a combination of sporting success, commercial development, and prudent financial management.
With significant infrastructure investments planned and a sustainable financial model now established, Inter appears well-positioned to maintain its competitive and commercial momentum in the seasons ahead.
