Since Burnley’s 1-0 win at Anfield in January 2021, they have lost 14 out of their 18 Premier League matches against Liverpool, including each of their last five games in a row. They have already conceded 37.5% (6 out of 16) of their total league goals from last season and will be the earliest team in football history to concede over 50% or more of their goal tally from the previous season.
Liverpool on the other end has won eight out of nine Premier League games at Turf Moore, losing only one. They have also won 7 away top flight away games and are looking to maintain their record of winning their opening four games in the Premier League.
Match Squad

Burnley will play without defenders C. Roberts and J. Beyer who are out due to knee injury but will resume play by 15 September. Forwards Amdouni and Agyei will also sit this one out.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will only play without C. Jones who is out till 18 September.
Liverpool’s club record signing, Alexander Isak is yet to make an appearance for Liverpool and is hoping to make his debut today however, Arne Sloth will likely fancy an Ekitike start over Isak.
