Juventus FC have officially relieved their Croatian manager, Igor Tudor, of his duties after just seven months in charge, signifying the club’s third short managerial stint in many years. This decision followed due to the Bianconeri’s winless run of eight matches across all competitions. Tudor, appointed in March 2025 to replace predecessor Thiago Motta, was in charge of 24 games but failed to prove himself amid amassing expectations and pressure, with the club now sitting in eighth position on the Serie A standings, six points behind table toppers Napoli, and 25th position in the UEFA Champions League standings.
The rapid decision to sack Tudor, who had been given a multi-year contract extension until 2028, shows executive management recklessness and a real decline of strategic diligence at the Board level, thereby showcasing that Juventus’ current crisis is not only about coaching incompetence but also organisational instability and structural deficiency from the helm of affairs.
The Aftermath for Juventus??

The Club’s board have immediately appointed Massimo Brambilla (Juve NextGen Head coach) as interim manager to take charge and lead the first team squad ahead of it’s next fixture at Home against Udinese scheduled for Wednesday evening while they (Juventus’ board) are actively in search for a new permanent successor, with Italian media speculating former Napoli and Italy national team manager, Luciano Spalletti as the frontrunner and favorite given his wealth of managerial experience, proven managerial authority and availability. Spalletti’s professional status and title-winning history are viewed as convincing attributes essential to revitalise and drive the squad in a positive results direction.
Running Out Of Options
Another name reportedly being considered is Raffaele Palladino, a former Fiorentina Manager who left the head coach role at Fiorentina with mutual consent. His status aligns with Juventus’ initial desire for a youth-oriented coach that brought about Motta and Tudor’s appointment. The choice is currently critical because Juventus cannot risk a “managerial gamble” as what is needed is Proven Managerial experience and authority to navigate the current instability and reduce the severe financial and regulatory penalty crisis.
Brambilla’s interim role as Caretaker provides time for Juventus’ leadership to make decisive strategic reforms; the pressure is on to rejuvenate a star-studded squad ahead of a very demanding fixtures schedule across all competitions.
This current situation leaves Juventus at a crossroads, desperate to reclaim their status as Serie A and European Giants and also restore the faith and full trust of the Club’s leadership in the hearts and minds of their passionate fans.
