Following Manchester United’s defeat against Brentford on Saturday, former Manchester United star, Wayne Rooney has expressed his utmost displeasure at the recent performance of the Club. He felt the need to speak up saying he noticed some unnerving and unsettling characters at his former club. He went o to state that he is hurt by the status quo adding that the blame isn’t entirely on the manager but some of the players who he described as undeserving of the team shirts.
“All day I’ve been debating this… do I say this? … it’s going to get picked up and the manager’s going to get asked questions about it, but I feel the need to.
“I was at the football club for 13 years, and what is going on is not right. And this is not all on the manager by the way. I’m seeing players, they’re not deserving to wear the shirt and it hurts.
“When you’ve been in football club for that long and you care for the club, the us is not acceptable what is going on. Manchester United haven’t won back-to-back games for I don’t know how long,” he said.

United have now dropped to 14th place in the league standings after playing seven games, marking their worst start in over 30 years.
Club legend Rooney attributed the poor performance to lack of fight and desire, and called on the club owners to reverse the club’s trajectory as manager Ruben Amorim sack has been dismissed received public support from co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Former Barcelona Head Coach, Xavi Hernandez is a favorite on the list of replacement as ha s prioritized the club over other offers, expressing readiness to join the Red Devils immediately.
Reports have it that he is currently studying the Premier League and would join United even without European football.
Amorim on his future and chances
Speaking on this future and chances of being sacked, United’s manager said, “I am not concerned because it is not my decision.
“I will do the best I can every minute I’m here. I am never concerned about losing my job. I am not that kind of guy.”
At Sporting, Amorim had time and less pressure. He impressed at Sporting but at United he has been lacking in execution although he has a strong philosophy.

“I will not quit. I am confident in my job and I will not change anything.
“If the board or fans feel that I’m not the right guy, I will go the next day without any conversation about compensation… but I will not quit,” said Amorim.
